Walking/Hiking
The walking around Morzine is amazing and a great way to discover the local flora and fauna. There are walks to suit all abilities, from one hour strolls along the river Dranse to 3 day hikes accross the mountain tops. We have maps and walking guide books available to you in the chalet.
Swimming
In the centre of Morzine there is a fantasitic aquatic centre with 6 pools in total. Outside there is an olympic pool plus a safe kids pool, a baby pool and a large slide for the older children. The outdoor pools are surrounded by a well kept grassy area for picnics and a bouncy castle for the little ones. Indoors there are three more pools, a 25 metre pool, a kids pool and baby pool. There is also a bar and restaurant for refreshments.
Mountain Biking
Montain biking is massive in Morzine! There are 650 kms of trails, 10 permanent downhill tracks, 4 bike parks, trails area and 24 lifts open to mountain bikers. If you don't fancy cycling uphill you can just pop your bike on the lift and enjoy the numerous trails coming down the mountains.
Downhill and all mountain bikes can be hired from around 79 Euros/day.
Horseriding
There is an equestrian centre next door to the swimming complex, they have horses for all ages and abilities, prices start from 20 Euros/hr for a trek. They also have a lot of small ponies available for little ones (from 3 years) that you can take out for 15 - 30 minutes.
White Water Activities
The river Dranse runs from the top of the Morzine valley all the way into Lac Leman at the bottom. Several companies take advantage of the rapids offering rafting, hot dogging (2-man inflatable raft), hydro speeding (coming down the river with a float and flippers) and canoeing.
Activity Park
Indiana Park offers fun for both kids and adults. There are zip wires, rope bridges and tunnels all at varying heights to suit age and ability. From 2 years old, 10 Euros - 22 Euros.
Golf
There are several fantastic golf courses in the area, the closest being and 18 hole course in Les Gets and a 9-hole in Avoriaz. There is the famous Evian course which is home to the International Ladies Evian Masters held every July with fabulous views over Lac Leman. Chamonix also has a great course plus there are others situated on the outskirts of Geneva.
